Secret Santa Replaces Long Island Homeowner's Stolen Snowman

A Long Island homeowner whose holiday decorations were stolen last week has a secret Santa.

Edison Sepulveda posted a photo of a boxed-up inflatable snowman sent to his house a little more than a week after he posted surveillance footage of a Grinch stealing another frosty inflatable from his yard in Central Islip on Nov. 28.

Sepulveda said he didn't know who sent him the replacement but he is thankful for the act of kindness.

It's not clear who stole the decoration, but footage showed the thief deflating the old snowman before running out of the fenced-in yard. Suffolk County police said there have been no arrests in the case.

It's not the first display to be swiped this holiday season. In the extravagantly decorated neighborhood of Dyker Heights, Brooklyn, one homeowner posted similar footage of a thief stealing an inflatable.

Anyone with information about the theft should call the Suffolk County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS.
