Police say they are looking for the pickpocket who used scarves to lift a gold necklace from a woman’s neck at a Queens store.

The 56-year-old victim was outside a clothing store on Main Street in Kew Gardens Hills on July 20 when the suspect asked her to model some scarves, police say.

Both women went inside the store, and the suspect started putting scarves around the victim’s neck. At some point, the suspect took the necklace off without the victim noticing.

After the theft, the woman left the store.

Anyone with information about the suspect is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
