State police say a 50-year-old man has been charged with attempted murder after he allegedly intentionally rammed his sport utility vehicle into an upstate New York home, severely injuring a person inside the house.
Troopers say Vincent P. Ryan Jr. of Bloomingburg drove a Chevrolet Tahoe into a home shortly after 1 p.m. Thursday in the Mamakating, in eastern Sullivan County.
Police say the confrontation apparently stemmed from a financial dispute. Troopers say the victim had an order of protection against Ryan. The victim's name and condition haven't been released by police.
Ryan was also charged with assault and criminal mischief. He's being held in the county jail.
Attorney information for the man wasn't immediately available.
