Giuliani Endorses Romney for President

Giuliani said that he was "convinced" Romney would be a "clear contrast" to President Barack Obama

Former New York City Mayor Rudolph Giuliani is giving his support to presumptive Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney.

The Romney campaign announced the endorsement in a statement Monday.

Giuliani said that he was "convinced" Romney would be a "clear contrast" to President Barack Obama. He said Romney "excels at turning around difficult situations" and that he was "proud" to support him.

The men were opponents at one point, when both were running for the Republican presidential nod in the 2008 election.

The endorsement was announced one day before New York state's Republican presidential primary, one of five being held on Tuesday.
