A security guard at a Long Island high school has been arrested, accused of taking video of a student going to the bathroom and posting it to Snapchat, police say.

Police said at a news conference Wednesday that the guard at Roosevelt High School followed the 16-year-old boy into the bathroom and videotaped him in the stall from outside.

The guard then sent the video to someone on Snapchat, and a third party who was with the recipient viewed the video at the same time, according to authorities.

That person tipped off school officials, who in turn reached out to police.

The 24-year-old guard, identified as Daniel Williams of North Babylon, was arrested at the school Wednesday on unlawful surveillance and child endangerment charges. The video he allegedly took of the boy was still on his phone, police said.

He was released on desk appearance ticket, and is scheduled to return to First District Court in Hempstead on April 11.

Calls to the school were not answered Wednesday evening. Relatives at an address listed for Williams, who has no record of past criminal charges, declined to comment.

Shalena Carter, who has two children at Roosevelt High School, said she's "very concerned" about whether there are other potential victims.

"I'm glad they caught him," she said.
