Roof Fire Forces Evacuation at NJ Highrise

Residents of a senior center in New Jersey were evacuated from their apartments Saturday when a fire burned on the roof of the highrise, authorities said.

The fire started at about 5 p.m. and sent thick black smoke billowing from the Marion Towers in Hoboken.

No one was injured and firefighters quickly extinguished the blaze.

Residents were allowed to return to their homes.
