3 Adults, 2 Kids Injured in L.I. House Fire; Pets Killed

Police say two dogs and a cat died in the Rockville Centre fire early Tuesday morning

A woman is hospitalized in serious condition following a Long Island house fire.

Four other people, including two children, suffered minor injuries. Two dogs and a cat died in the Tuesday morning fire in Rockville Centre.

Police say the woman was taken to Nassau University Medical Center, suffering from burns and smoke inhalation.

The others were taken to the hospital for evaluation.

The blaze was reported at 5 a.m. at 98 Woods Ave., and brought under control several hours later.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
