It may be Columbus Day but it’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas, as the famed Rockefeller Center skating rink opens today.

That means the “Winter Season” has officially started, according to Rink officials -- despite the fact that temps are expected to climb up into the 60s this week.

From October 12 to through November 6th skating is priced on the “pre-holiday” schedule, which is $10 for adults, Monday through Thursday, and $14 on Fridays and the weekends. Kids under 11 and seniors are $7.50 Mon.-Thu., and $8.50 Fri.-Sun.

But for those of you who actually get a lunch break, there’s Lunchtime Skating for $5 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., Monday to Thursday.

For more info, click here, and for skating lessons, call 212-332-7655.
