Robber Punches Woman in Face, Flees With Purse: Cops

Police are looking for a robber who followed a woman into a building on the Lower East Side Tuesday, punching her in the face before stealing her purse.
The man, described by police as in his mid to late 30s, followed a 25-year-old woman into 50 Allen St. at about 4:20 p.m., police said.
He punched her twice in the face, then ran away with her purse.
The assailant was wearing a white shirt, blue jeans and white sneakers at the time.
