Police block a road after a report of a suspicious person prompts the lockdown of Ridgefield schools
Police in Connecticut say they arrested a man who caused school lockdowns in two towns after he was spotted dressed all in black, wearing a mask and carrying what appeared to be a rifle.
It turned out to be an umbrella.
A school in Ridgefield and three schools in neighboring Redding were locked down for about two hours Monday morning.
It's not clear why the man was wearing all black and a mask.
Officials are on alert after Friday's violent rampage in which 20 children and six faculty were killed at Sandy Hook Elementary.
Ridgefield police charged the man with breach of peace.
