The remnants of Tropical Storm Nate made for wet Monday, with torrential downpours and localized flooding in parts of the region through the afternoon and evening, Storm Team 4 says.
Heavy rain was falling on midtown through much of the day, though the worst of the weather moved out late Monday evening. Overnight, Nate should continue to make things unpleasant overnight, with lows at or above normal high temperatures for this time of year.

Hurricane Nate, which has killed at least 30 people in Central America and has led to hurricane warnings in parts of Florida and Louisiana, made landfall in Mississippi as a Category 1 hurricane Saturday evening, according to the National Weather Service. It weakened into a tropical storm over Mississippi.

Nate moved out to sea on Monday night, and Tuesday will be a warm, breezy and dry day, according to Storm Team 4. And a big of much-needed respite from the humidity will also make the region feel more seasonable and less sultry.
Wednesday is also dry, but the chance of showers returns Thursday and Friday.
Temperatures will get progressively cooler over the course of the week, Storm Team 4 says. By Wednesday highs will drop to the mid-70s. On Thursday and Friday, they’ll only be in the low-70s or upper-60s.
Next weekend looks pleasant, with partly cloudy skies and highs in the mid-70s early on.
