Severe T-Storms, Flooding Warnings

Parts of our area are under thunderstorm and flood warnings as severe weather moves into the tri-state.

The system has the potential to dump 2-3 inches of rain in an hour or less.

Severe thunderstorm warnings are in effect for all of New York City, along with Hudson, Essex, Bergen and Westchester counties.

Flooding is a concern, and hail and damaging winds are also possible.

Flash flood warnings are in effect for Brooklyn, Queens and Staten Island in the city, along with Nassau, Bergen, Essex, Hudson, Passaic and Westchester counties.

Flights are delayed by more than three hours at Newark Liberty International Airport, and more than one hour at LaGuardia and John F. Kennedy Airport.

Saturday is mostly clear with isolated storms and a high of 88 degrees.
