Here's Chris Cimino's forecast
After a glorious 24 hours, showers and thundershowers return to the tri-state today.
The first batch pushing through Thursday morning has prompted flood advisories for central and southern New Jersey through the morning commute.
Showers and a few downpours will pepper the entire tri-state area today into this evening, primarily across central New Jersey.
The rainy pattern will likely continue into Saturday.
While it is not expected to rain continuously, area residents are advised to keep umbrellas handy into the weekend.
With saturated ground from last weekend's storms, some local flooding issues could arise at any time in some spots with locally heavier showers.
Sunday should be a drier day with at least partial sunshine before more showers return later Sunday night into Monday.
Warm and muggy conditions can be expected over the next few days with highs in the low to mid 80s and lows near 70 degrees.
