Traffic is now flowing over the Queensboro Bridge after a truck caught fire Friday damaging a part of the bridge.
Department of Transportation officials say all but one of the Queens-bound lanes on the bridge have been reopened.
It took about two hours for firefighters to get the fire under control Friday as thick, black smoke billowed from the double-decker span's lower level.
There were no reports of injuries in the fire on the 3,725-foot-long bridge but it caused a major traffic mess. Authorities said a floor beam was damaged.
