Queens Purse Snatcher Threatened to Cut Victims: NYPD

Police are looking for a robber who grabbed women and threatened to cut them in three separate purse-snatchings in Queens this month.

The women were all robbed while walking in Forest Hills late on Feb. 11, Feb. 12 and Tuesday, according to the NYPD. None of the women were injured, but the suspect stole purses from all three victims.

In the first robbery, the suspect pushed the victim up against a fence, pulled out a box cutter and took the woman’s purse.

In the second, the suspect got out of a car and grabbed a woman in a bear hug, police say. He threatened to cut the victim, but didn’t pull out a weapon. The robber then took the woman’s purse, got back in a car and left.

In the most recent purse-snatching, the robber similarly wrapped his arms around the victim, police say. Then he pressed a sharp object against her hand and took her purse before leaving in a car.
