VIDEO: Cops Seek Attempted Rapist in Queens

The suspect ran off with the victim's purse when she started screaming for help.

Police are asking for the public's help in finding a man wanted for trying to rape a woman in Queens Sunday night.

Police say the suspect approached the 25-year-old victim from behind at about 10:30 p.m., pushed her to the ground and attempted to rape her.

The victim began screaming for help and the suspect ran off with her purse.

The suspect is described as being between the ages of 25 and 35, about 6 feet tall, 210 pounds with short black hair. He was wearing a gray jacket at the time of the incident.

Police have released surveillance video of the attack (above) in hopes someone might recognize him.
