$995 Puppy Stolen From Long Island Pet Store

Handout

Police are looking for a man who stole an 8-week-old Maltese worth nearly $1,000 from a pet store on Long Island in September.

Authorities say the suspect took the cream-colored pup from the Shake-A-Paw on Atlantic Avenue in Lyndbrook Sept. 29 around 5:45 p.m. He left the store without paying and ran off.

Police released a surveillance image of the suspect (above).

Anyone with information about the stolen puppy is asked to call 1-800-244-TIPS.
