Prospect Park Brush Fire Extinguished; No Injuries Reported: FDNY

A brush fire at Prospect Park has been put out after burning for more than an hour near Grand Army Plaza in Brooklyn.

The fire, which broke out around 8:20 p.m. at 16 Prospect Park West, was under control by 9:55 p.m., according to the FDNY.

The Parks Department said the fire on Quaker Hill, a woodland area near the Nethermead in Prospect Park, was likely caused by dry conditions.

There was minimal damage and no injuries, officials said.
