Escaped Murder Suspect Caught in the Bronx

A  murder suspect who escaped from a Brooklyn police precinct early Thursday has been captured in the Bronx, authorities said. 

Brandon Santana, 24, of Brooklyn, escaped from the 78th precinct stationhouse hours after his arrest in the 2010 slaying of 22-year-old Alexander Santiago, the NYPD said. Santana was captured in the Bronx at 3930 Third Avenue, police said. 
 
Police say one officer suffered minor injuries during Santana's escape.
