Police released new surveillance video of the suspect in the attempted rape of a pregnant woman walking her dog in Inwood on Sunday morning.

Police have released new surveillance video of the suspect they believe attacked a pregnant woman walking her dog in Manhattan, trying to rape her before she fought him off.
The video shows the man at a deli near the scene where she was assaulted.
Law enforcement officials say the 30-year-old victim, who is two months pregnant, was walking her dog across from a park on West 212th Street in Inwood around 7 a.m. Sunday when the suspect, who had been sitting on a park bench, grabbed her from behind.
Officials say he put his hands under her shorts, turned her around and tried to push her down, but she fought him off, biting his chest. A superintendent of a nearby apartment building heard her screams and came to her aid.

    The attacker fled.

Authorities had already released surveillance video of the suspect that shows him trailing the woman, whose face is covered by a black circle in the video to protect her identity. The new video shows his face more clearly.
Police ask anyone with information about the attack to call Crime Stoppers at (800)-577-TIPS.
