Man Arrested With 2,000 Packages of Heroin at Port Authority Bus Terminal

Police say they've arrested a 32-year-old man carrying a brown paper bag filled with about $20,000 worth of heroin through the Port Authority Bus Terminal.

Authorities say the man placed the bag on the ground, walked away from it and then returned to it least twice on Thursday.

When officers asked him if it was his, the suspect initially denied it.

The Bronx man faces charges of criminal possession of a controlled substance.

Police say the bag contained 2,000 packages of heroin, valued at $10 each on the street.
