Connecticut State Police and FBI agents have cordoned off several streets at the TA Travel Center on East Industrial Drive in Branford after authorities located a semitrailer truck that was suspected of carrying explosives.

The truck was searched and was empty according to Branford First  Selectman Anthony Daros.

The truck driver and a passenger were questioned by state and federal authorities and will be released, Daros said.

"There is no evidence of terrorism. It appears to involve a dispute between the owner and driver of the vehicle", said NYPD spokesman Paul Browne.
