Another man died of the stab wounds he suffered at the hands of the suspect, police said

A stabbing suspect was shot and killed by police as officers responded to a 911 call for an assault inside a Brooklyn apartment building, authorities say.

Officers called to the apartment on Ocean Parkway in Midwood at about 7:15 p.m. Monday for some sort of domestic dispute allegedly found the suspect stabbing another man, police on the scene said.

Police ordered the alleged stabber to drop his knife, but he refused, according to authorities. That's when officers opened fire.

The stabbing victim was transported to the hospital, and later died of his injuries.

Police also found a woman inside the apartment with minor stab wounds along with two young children.

The woman was romantically involved with at least one of the men, police said, though her exact relationships with the men were not immediately clear.

The woman was taken to a hospital.

The children, who were uninjured, were also removed from the apartment.

Authorities were also investigating another police-involved shooting in the Bronx Monday night.
