NYPD Seeks South Street Seaport Party Shooter

Authorities say the fracas early Sunday involved 30 to 35 people, including 19 who had been on a rented bus

The NYPD has been searching for the person who shot a man at the South Street Seaport during a party for Long Island high school graduates.

Authorities say the fracas early Sunday involved 30 to 35 people, including 19 who had been on a rented bus.

The victim was with another group. He was taken to Bellevue Hospital in stable condition.

Police say the shooter got back onto the bus and left the gun on a seat.

The New York Post says a 17-year-old girl from Hempstead was arrested for having the weapon in her possession, but police believe someone else fired the shot before fleeing.

The investigation is ongoing.
