Police Seek Bible-Stealing Attackers in the Bronx

Police are looking for three men wanted in connection with a series of robberies in the Bronx, including a brutal assault last week in which a 64-year-old man was beaten and robbed of his Bible, cell phone and cash.

In a surveillance video provided by NYPD, the suspects were seen attacking the man from behind and taking off with his personal items. Police said the incident occurred inside 2100 Creston Ave. at about 2 a.m. on Aug. 8.

The other robberies occurred Saturday, July 23, at about 1:05 a.m., at East 181st Street and Creston Avenue, and Wednesday, Aug. 3, at about 2:30 a.m., in the same location, according to police. Both victims were men in their late 20s to early 30s.

Police said in each incident there were three to four assailants who appeared to be about 16 to 20 years old.
