Police Search for Inwood Park Sex Assault Suspect

Police say they're searching for a man involved in a sexual assault at Inwood Park Friday.

Police say a 28-year-old woman was assaulted inside the park shortly after 8:40 p.m. Friday. The woman was walking near the ball fields near Dyckman Avenue and Henry Hudson Parkway when she was approached by a man who began a conversation, according to police.

The man then forced the woman into a secluded area of the park, sexually assaulted her, and fled on a red mountain bike, police said.

The suspect is described as a man in his early 30s, about 5'7" to 5'9" tall, and 170 to 180 pounds.
