Police say a commuter bus in central New Jersey slammed into 10 vehicles stopped at a traffic light, injuring seven people and snarling traffic for hours.
South Brunswick Police Capt. Jim Ryan says the bus was headed south on Route 130 around 6:30 a.m. Thursday and neared the Friendship Road intersection, where two lanes of vehicles were stopped at a red light.
Ryan says the bus rear-ended a vehicle and then almost seemed to go down the middle, pushing vehicles to either side. Some were pushed into the woods off the road.
"There were cars all over the place," said motorist Shavar Bobo. "Cars in the woods, cars in the median. Everywhere."

Ryan says two people were seriously injured. Their conditions were not known.
Only the driver was on the bus, owned by Suburban Trails. He told police he was distracted, but he denied having been on his phone at the time.
No charges have been filed and the investigation continues.
