The lights on the George Washington Bridge and One World Trade Center are scheduled to glow pink in support of breast cancer awareness.
According to the New York governor's office, the bridge connecting Manhattan to Fort Lee, New Jersey, and the 408-foot spire atop the trade center in lower Manhattan have been outfitted with pink lights set for lighting Tuesday evening.
On the bridge, 156 lights are supposed to stay pink through October, designated National Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

State authorities say 15,000 women in New York are diagnosed with the disease yearly, while nearly 2,700 die from it annually.
Gov. Andrew Cuomo's girlfriend Sandra Lee was diagnosed and treated this year. Cuomo says early detection matters, and that New Yorkers should use free screening opportunities available this month.
