2 Teens Shot Near Brooklyn Museum: Police

Two teenage boys were shot during a music festival in a park near the Brooklyn Museum Sunday, police say. 

The teens, 15 and 16, were shot in Mount Prospect Park at about 9 p.m., according to the NYPD.

Both boys were taken to New York Methodist Hospital. One teen was shot in the hip, while the other was hit in the body. Both are expected to survive.

Witnesses said the pair were innocent bystanders attending a picnic with family and friends and were leaving when shots rang out, according to the New York Times.

A West Indian music festival was also being held nearby at the time. 

No arrests have been made.
