Man Stabbed in Head With Screwdriver Near Lincoln Center

A man was stabbed twice in the head with a screwdriver in an apparent domestic dispute near the Lincoln Center for Performing Arts building on the Upper West Side Thursday morning, authorities said.

A 29-year-old man stabbed the 28-year-old victim twice in the head with a screw driver at about 5:30 a.m. on West 65th Street near Broadway, police said. 

FDNY emergency medical personnel responded to the scene and transported the victim to Roosevelt Hospital, authorities said.

Police also responded and took the 29-year-old into custody, authorities said. It was not immediately clear what charges he will face. 

The screwdriver was recovered at the scene, authorities said.

The victim is in stable condition at Roosevelt Hospital, police said.
