People Magazine Names These Tri-State Restaurants as the Most Popular

People Magazine has a new of list the most popular restaurants for every state and Washington D.C. It teamed up with Zagat to post the list. 

For New York it is an iconic Lower East Side eatery. And for New Jersey and Connecticut it is a pizza place.

Katz’s Delicatessen tops the list for New York. Open since 1888, it has been serving its legendary corned beef and pastrami since. Earlier in the year, the eatery also claimed the top spot on The Daily Meal's list of the 101 Best Casual Restaurants in America for 2017.

De Lorenzo’s Tomato Pies breaks No. 1 on People’s list for New Jersey. The family-owned pizzeria, which opened in 1947, specializes in creating your own pizzas.

Frank Pepe Pizzeria Napoletana is Connecticut's most popular, according to People. The pizzeria opened in 1925 and is known for its famous white clam pie, which is topped with fresh clams.
