A pedestrian was killed after being struck by a tractor on a Long Island highway Wednesday night, police said.
The 2014 Freightliner tractor was traveling eastbound on Veterans Memorial Highway in Bohemia when the tractor struck the pedestrian, who got on the road around 9 p.m., Suffolk County police said.
The victim, who was unidentified, was pronounced dead at the scene.
