Woman Killed in Queens Hit-and-Run: NYPD

A woman was killed in a hit-and-run crash at a busy Queens intersection Thursday evening, authorities say.

The unidentified pedestrian was struck at Main Street and Kissena Boulevard in Flushing at about 8:30 p.m., according to the FDNY and NYPD.

The vehicle continued on after striking the victim.

Police are investigating whether a Skyliner bus was involved in the crash. The company says the bus in question, which was stopped by police in Madison, Connecticut, is back in New York City and the driver is being questioned by police. Skyliner is cooperating with officials.

Traffic was being diverted in the area as police investigated. The area is packed with retail shops and businesses, and the streets are thoroughfares for many MTA buses.
