A 21-year-old man died after he was hit by an MTA bus while crossing a Manhattan street Thursday night.
Amos Veloz was crossing East 23rd Street between Broadway and Madison Avenue just before midnight when the MTA bus struck him, police said.
Veloz was pronounced dead at a nearby hospital.
Police say he was not in the crosswalk when he tried to cross the street. The MTA bus stayed at the scene and no criminality suspected at this time.
