Pedestrian Hit, Killed on Eastern Parkway

Police say a pedestrian was struck and killed by a van Monday in Brooklyn.

The driver remained at the scene following the accident at 8:40 a.m. Monday and was not charged.

The van was going west on Eastern Parkway. The accident occurred at the intersection of Schenectady Avenue.

The man, in his 20s, was pronounced dead at Kings County Hospital.

His name was not immediately released.
