He has homesick written all over his face.

Twilight star Robert Pattinson is “over” New York, and especially its overbearing, persistent, and -- not to mention competitive -- women.

The star-struck fans, both young and old, are worse here than anywhere else, according to the heartthrob.

“He’s so overwhelmed by all the girls- -they terrify him!" an insider told the Daily News. "He says girls grab his neck and clothing all of the time, and he’s not used to that. Fans don’t do that to him in London.”

Pattinson’s time filming “Remember Me” is starting to take its toll, and his co-stars are concerned.

In true vampire form, he is trying to hide in the daylight.

“He’s afraid that if he gives a hand, they’ll take the whole arm. He’s being advised by security not to encourage the crowd, so he doesn’t even look up anymore.”

But that doesn’t stop him from exploring the hot spots -- Pattinson has been seen hitting up places like Black and White, the Bowery Hotel, Freemans and Webster Hall.
