Pair Holds Up Queens Cellphone Store, Speed Off in SUV: NYPD

A man stood by as a lookout while a second man stole money from a Queens cellphone store at gunpoint in the middle of the day Wednesday, according to the NYPD.

At around 12:30 p.m., a man took out a gun and demanded money from a worker at the Metro PCS on Northern Boulevard in Murray Hill, police said.

A second suspect stood by as a lookout as the gunman stole about $200 from the store, authorities said.

Both men then ran out of the store and sped off in a black SUV, according to police.

Nobody was injured in the robbery.

Police described both suspects as being in their 20s and standing about 6 feet tall.

Investigators released surveillance footage of both men and the SUV in hopes of catching the duo.
