Officers Pull 4 From Burning Car in NJ Single-Car Crash: Police

Police rescued four people struggling to escape a burning vehicle following a one-car crash in New Jersey on Saturday, authorities said.

Officers were called to the scene on Kuller Road in Clifton at around 3 a.m., police said. They found a car overtaken by flames in a wooded area off the road. The four occupants were trying to escape the vehicle, but their debilitating injuries were making it impossible, police said.

The officers pulled all four from the wreckage, police said. The victims were sent to area hospitals.
