Nursing Home Oxygen Malfunction Disrupts Ventilators for 10 Patients

Ten patients on ventilators lost oxygen when the malfunction happened.

The oxygen system malfunctioned at a Brooklyn nursing home Monday, disrupting ventilators for 10 elderly patients, officials said.

Three were taken to area hospitals.

Anyone on ventilators on the 10th floor of Concord Nursing Home on Madison Street lost oxygen when the malfunction happened at about 8 a.m.

The cause of the problem was not known.

No further details were immediately available.
