The health and fitness organization Body Sculpt of New York is sponsoring Saturday's three-mile walk in Prospect Park to raise money for healthy foods and activities for children.
Body Sculpt spokeswoman Dawn Hardy says the nonprofit plans to hold a free expo on June 13 in Brooklyn and Harlem to get children involved in dozens of sports. Their parents will learn to cook healthy foods, and the children will also get dental, eye and asthma tests.

Research published in the journal Psychological Bulletin in July said almost 50 percent of children in North America are expected to be overweight by 2010.
