The severe weather that tore through New Jersey on Thursday did not include tornadoes, weather officials said Friday.
The National Weather Service said it was not sending crews to survey storm damage because the reports from local emergency management officials indicated no confirmed tornado touchdowns.
Throughout the day there were tornado warnings in parts of New Jersey and New York, along with thunderstorm warnings and flood watches.
Some residents thought they saw funnel clouds.
The weekend looks bright and clear, with a high of 70 degrees on Saturday and 72 degrees on Sunday.
