Baby Found Critically Injured at Atlantic City Casino

A police investigation is underway after a newborn baby was found critically injured at an Atlantic City casino on Memorial Day.

An EMS dispatch reporting a 2-month-old child in respiratory distress was made shortly after 7:30 p.m. Monday night for the Bally’s Atlantic City Hotel and Casino in Atlantic City.

When crews arrived they found an injured infant who had been born prematurely, according to investigators. The baby was first taken to the Atlanticare Regional Medical Center and then airlifted to the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.

The child was listed in critical condition Tuesday night.

Police, the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office and New Jersey’s Division of Child Protection and Permanency are all investigating the incident.

No arrests have been made.
