A 63-year-old man in a wheelchair was found dead inside his Newark apartment Tuesday morning, the victim of an apparent homicide, authorities say.
Newark police officers found Wilbert Kesselly unresponsive in his Fabyan Place home at about 9:30 a.m., and pronounced dead shortly afterward, according to the Essex County prosecutor's office.
An autopsy has determined that Kesselly died of blunt force trauma.
The prosecutor's office is investigating the homicide, and urges anyone with information to contact them at 877-847-7432.
