Sprinkler Break Shuts Down Rail Link at Newark

A sprinkler break has flooded Newark Airport's rail link station in the airport's Northeast Corridor, forcing it to close.

The Port Authority and New Jersey Transit are running buses between Newark Penn station and the airport while crews work to repair the break.

Travelers on NJ Transit and Amtrak trains to the airport can access buses at Newark Penn Station to the airport terminals on NJ Transit 62 buses or some supplemental Port Authority buses.

Arriving fliers can access the buses in front of the terminals for the trip to Newark Penn Station to catch their trains.

It's not clear what caused the break in the sprinkler head Wednesday afternoon.
