Man With Rifle Arrested Outside Newark Airport: PA

Police say a 21-year-old man was arrested outside Newark Airport Friday morning for carrying an unlicensed rifle.

A Port Authority police officer was directing traffic around Terminal C when he saw a man in the parking lot with a rifle lying on the front passenger seat, authorities said. 

The man said he was a hunter but he did not have a permit or right to carry a weapon in the state, Port Authority officials said. 

He has been charged with possession of a weapon.
