A 37-year-old upstate New York man is facing assault and robbery charges for an attack on his 69-year-old mother.
State police say Brian Ouimet asked his mother for some money on Jan. 21st, and when she refused he hit her with a blunt object in the Duanesburg home where they lived.
Troopers say Ouimet then forced his mother to give him her ATM card to avoid another assault, and he withdrew money from her account.
The suspect and his girlfriend fled the area in a vehicle owned by his parents. He was apprehended the next day and sent to the Schenectady County Jail in lieu of bail.
It could not be immediately determined if Ouimet has a lawyer.
