Jets Corner Antonio Cromartie, Father of 10, Expecting Twins Despite Vasectomy

New York Jets cornerback Antonio Cromartie recently learned he and his wife Terricka are expecting twins — an especially big surprise since the father of 10 has had a vasectomy.

Us reports the couple learned they were expecting twins after Terricka Cromartie went to the hospital in October with what she thought were bad cramps. She said that when she found out she was pregnant, she was "in total disbelief."

"I didn’t even tell Antonio right away because I didn’t think it was possible," she told Us. "I was going back and forth in my head how it could even happen. In my head we were good to go, we were having free sex! I just really thought that his procedure was the best protection you could have at this point."

Antonio Cromartie was as shocked when he found out, she told Us. He eventually said it was "God's will."

According to the American Pregnancy Institute, the chance a couple can get pregnant after the male partner gets a vasectomy is lower than 1 percent.

The pair were married in November 2008 and have two children, 5 and 3. Cromartie has eight other children from previous relationships.

Terricka Cromartie said she is planning on getting tubal ligation to make sure they don't have any more children.
