A Dutch prince and princess are traveling up the Hudson River to mark the 400th anniversary of Henry Hudson's historic voyage.

Willem-Alexander, Crown Prince of Orange and his wife, Princess Maxima, will begin Tuesday with a visit to the Intrepid, a World War II aircraft carrier-turned-museum docked on Manhattan's West Side.

They are scheduled take a helicopter up the river to West Point to visit with cadets. Then the couple will head to Albany for a private tour of a quadricentennial exhibit at the State Museum and a meeting with Gov. David Paterson.

Hudson was an Englishman working for the Dutch when in September 1609 he sailed up the river that would later bear his name.

His ship, the Half Moon, made it to present-day Albany before heading back.
