Brooklyn Robbers Put Man, 60, in Chokehold: NYPD

Police are looking for the strong-arm robbers they say attacked a 60-year-old man in Brooklyn late last month, putting him in a chokehold before rifling through his pockets.

The man was walking out of a deli at Graham Avenue and Grand Street in East Williamsburg early on Feb. 23 when two men and a woman came up from behind. One of the men put the man in a chokehold while the other two assailants went through his pockets.

The thieves made off with the man’s cellphone, wallet, cash and debit card. A short time after the robbery, someone unsuccessfully attempted to withdrawal money from an ATM at a gas station on Bushwick Avenue.

Surveillance cameras caught an image of the woman in the robbery, police say.

Anyone with information about the robbery is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 800-577-TIPS.
