Men Made Anti-Semitic Statements Before Attacking Jewish Man With Umbrella: NYPD

Police say they’re looking for men they say made anti-Semitic statements before attacking a Jewish man with an umbrella at a subway station in Brooklyn Monday afternoon.

The victim was waiting on the Queens-bound platform at the Marcy Avenue J-M-Z station in Williamsburg shortly before 4 p.m. when three men accosted him and beat him with the umbrella, police say.

The attackers then left the scene. The extent of the victim's injuries were not known.

The NYPD says its hate crimes unit is investigating the beating.
